Thursday March 15 at Planet Follywood, St. Patrick's Day at Fiddler's Green

Hi there!

I have a couple important shows coming up that I'm very excited about. This is in addition to my regular Monday night gig at The Oasis, of course:

follywood First, this Thursday I'm playing at Planet Follywood on Folly Beach. Follywood is right on Center Street, at number 32-A. I go on at 9 p.m. This is my first headlining gig on Folly Beach, and I am really happy to be playing at this place, which is a Folly Beach institution. There is always a great friendly local atmosphere, you can enjoy cheap drinks made by some of the best bartenders around, and the food is surprisingly good! (I highly recommend the burgers.)

Mondays at The Oasis

Ok.

As of Monday, January 16th, I have begun a residency at The Oasis on James Island. That means I'll be playing there every Monday until further notice! I am very excited about this, and hope lots of people come out to hear me play and to drink some beer. If you've never been to the Oasis, it's a really fun place, with lots of space so you can play pool or Cornhole while enjoying my melodious strains. I have a feeling it's going to be a real party atmosphere, so come get your aardvark on!

Friday, Jan. 6, 2012: The Oasis

Hey y'all!

I'm psyched to be performing this Friday, January 6th, at The Oasis on James Island. I go on at 9 p.m. and play until midnight. After a cold week, it's supposed to be 65 degrees on Friday, so I have a feeling there will be a real party atmosphere. So come on down: it will be a lot of fun! Special bonus: The first five people to tell me I'm awesome, I'll buy you a free beer. Go ahead, you can practice at home: "You're awesome, Eddy!" Very good. See you Friday. :)

New song: Lovely Soul

What’s up?

I have lived in a few different places, and each place has affected my songwriting significantly. After a year in the Charleston, SC, area, I can definitely see its influence on my sound. There is a great local music scene, and all of the area musicians have been very welcoming and friendly to me. I’ve been especially impressed with the optimism and positivity of this place’s music and bands.

One such local bands is called Guilt-Ridden Troubadour. Despite the sad sounding name, they are a very fun band, with a style of bouncy toe-tapping music that gets you moving. For me as a transplanted New Englander, it’s a refreshing change from the cynicism and negativity of the Boston music scene. Folks here are not afraid to be happy, and not afraid to sing about it. After attending one of their gigs, I was inspired to write my latest song, attempting to capture some of that optimism and innocence. It’s called Lovely Soul.

Here it is, if you want to have a listen:

And in case you’re wondering, no, it’s not about you. And yes, it is. It’s my ode to not one, but all the lovely souls I’ve met in the past year.
